#23 NC State Women’s Soccer Advances to Semifinals of ACCT

The #23 ranked NC State Women’s Soccer team beat #14 Louisville twice on the road within less than a week, beating the Cardinals 2-1 on Sunday in the ACC Tournament, advancing to the semifinals. The Wolfpack has advanced to the semifinals in 2 out of the last 3 seasons.

NC State took a 1-0 lead at the 54-minute mark, scoring off of this corner kick.

Then to seal the deal, Senior Tziarra King scored the game winning goal in overtime on a break away.

The goal was King’s 13th of the season, which is the team lead, and ranks 2nd in the ACC. Her 32 points on the year is tops in the conference. She scored off of an assist from Redshirt Sophomore Lulu Guttenberger.

#5 seed NC State will now play #1 seed UNC tomorrow at 5pm.
