Cunane & Konig Named to Naismith Trophy Watch List

NC State Women’s Basketball had 2 players named to the 2020 Naismith Trophy Watch List, awarded annually to the best player in the nation.

Senior Guard Aislinn Konig and Sophomore Center Elissa Cunane were 2 of the 50 players on the watch list. Both earned preseason All-ACC honors as well.

Konig averaged 10.8 points per game last year, shooting 40.1% from beyond the arch. She also chipped in a solid 3.8 assists per game.

Cunane earned a spot on the ACC All-Freshman team last season, averaging 13.6 points & 6.3 rebounds.

The NC State Women’s team hosts UNCW tomorrow in Reynolds at 2pm.
