NC State in the NFL: Week 10 Report

13 of the 21 former NC State players on active NFL rosters saw action in Week 10 of the 2019 NFL season. Check out a breakdown of how they did below.

Quarterback Ryan Finley (starter) started his first NFL game, completing 16 of 30 for 167 yards and a touchdown (1 interception) in Cincinnati’s 49-13 loss to Baltimore. He also rushed the ball 5 times for 22 yards.

Linebacker Germaine Pratt (starter) started his second career game, playing 49% of the defensive snaps. He had 4 tackles the Bengals’ 49-13 loss to the Ravens.

Offensive Guard J.R. Sweezy (starter) played 100% of the offensive snaps in Arizona’s 30-27 loss to Tampa Bay. Sweezy ranks 8th in the NFL amongst Offensive Guards in Pass Block Win Rate.

Quarterback Russell Wilson (starter) led the Seahawks to a 27-24 victory over the undefeated 49ers in overtime. He was 23 of 34 for 232 yards and a touchdown (1 interception). Wilson also rushed the ball 6 times for 53 yards.

Quarterback Philip Rivers (starter) had the worst game of the season, completing 17 of 31 for 207 yards and 2 touchdowns, along with 3 interceptions in the Chargers 26-24 loss to the Raiders. His QB Rating was 57.5 on the day.

I love Philip, but this pursuit angle after one of his interceptions is priceless.

Also, turning the ball over has been something Rivers has done more often than he’d like over the past couple of years.

Running Back Nyheim Hines rushed the ball 3 times for 14 yards, and had 4 receptions for 30 yards (7 targets) in the Colts’ 16-12 loss to the Dolphins. Hines played in 43% of the offensive snaps.

Running Back Jaylen Samuels (starter) started for the 2nd straight week for the injured James Conner, rushing 14 times for 29 yards, and 3 receptions for 11 yards (7 targets) in the Steelers’ 17-12 victory over the Rams. He played in 55% of the offensive snaps.

Defensive Back Juston Burris (starter) started for the third straight week, but only played in 18% of the defensive snaps for the Browns in their 19-16 victory over the Bills.

Defensive End B.J. Hill had 2 tackles in the Giants’ 34-27 loss to the Jets. He played 28% of the defensive snaps.

Punter A.J. Cole (starter) punted the ball 4 times for an average of 42.5 yards in Oakland’s 26-24 win over Los Angeles.

Center Garrett Bradbury (starter) played in 100% of the offensive snaps in Minnesota’s 28-24 victory over Dallas.

Offensive Lineman Ted Larsen played 3 special teams snaps in the Bears’ 20-13 victory over the Lions.

Place Kicker Stephen Hauschka had a rough day, missing both field goal attempts (34 & 53) in the Bills’ 19-16 loss to the Browns.
