Philip Rivers Signs 1-Year Deal with Colts

Former NC State Quarterback Philip Rivers signed a 1-year contract worth $25 million with the Indianapolis Colts yesterday, with a franchise tag option in 2021.

Rivers will turn 39 in December, and is entering his 17th season in the NFL. After spending his first 16 seasons with the Chargers, he will now join former Wolfpackers Quarterback Jacoby Brissett and Running Back Nyheim Hines.

What Rivers accomplished in a Bolts jersey is nothing short of remarkable. Through 16 seasons, he ranks 6th in career passing yards and touchdown passes, going to 8 Pro Bowls.

Rivers will be taking the job of Brissett, who just signed a 2-year $30 million extension with the Colts last September.
