Elissa Cunane Becomes NC State’s 1st AP All-American Ever

Sophomore Center Elissa Cunane earned 3rd Team AP All-American honors yesterday, becoming the 1st player in NC State history to claim a spot on one of the three teams.

Six other players in school history earned Honorable Mention, but Cunane is the first to make one of the three teams.

If you do a little bit of rounding, Cunane averaged a double-double in 2019-20, leading the Wolfpack in scoring and rebounding, averaging 16.4 points and 9.6 rebounds.

Louisville Junior Guard Dana Evans was the only other ACC player to make one of the 3 AP teams, earning a spot on the 2nd Team. Evans took home the ACC Player of the Year honor this year.
