With the absence of the Big Dance this March, we are having to get creative to get our fix. For instance, the ACC has put together a 64-man bracket, to figure out who the best ACC Men’s Basketball player of the past 50 years.

Four NC State players were selected:

#1 seed – David Thompson
#5 seed – Rodney Monroe
#7 seed – Julius Hodge
#8 seed – T.J. Warren

The 64 players were chosen based on the following criteria:

  • Players evaluated on collegiate accomplishments
  • Field comprised from only current ACC school alumni
  • Field limited to players from 1970 to present day
  • Minimum of three players per school
  • Maximum of six players per school

The winners are determined by fan vote.

The bracket is below.

Voting began yesterday, with The Juice defeating Troy Bell of Boston College with ease.

Hodge will face off against #2 seed J.J. Redick on Monday. Juice took to Twitter to express his disapproval of his seeding, and his familiarity with Redick.

As I type this, T.J. Warren is making light work of Pat Garrity of Notre Dame, but make sure to click the image today to cast your vote.

Tomorrow you will have the opportunity to vote for David Thompson over #16 seed Tyrese Rice of Boston College, and on Sunday you will have the chance to vote for Rodney Monroe over #12 seed Stephon Marbury of Georgia Tech.
