Week 1 of the 2020 NFL season is upon us. Here’s a look at NC State’s all-time NFL rushing Leaders entering the season and we bet this list has some names you wouldn’t expect.

No disrespect to NC State’s former Running Backs, but nobody is trying to dub the Wolfpack RBU. Four of NC State’s all-time leading rushers in the NFL are former Quarterbacks.

All-Time Leaders

  • Rushing Yards: Alex Webster – 4,638
    • Within the next two seasons, Russell Wilson will likely become NC State’s all-time leading rusher in the NFL, passing Ted Brown and Alex Webster.
    • Good chance by seasons end, Nyheim Hines and Jaylen Samuels have cracked the Top-10 of the above list.
  • Rushing Yards Per Game: Ted Brown- 43.7
  • Touchdowns: Ted Brown – 40
  • Yards Per Carry: Russell Wilson – 5.5

NFL Career Rankings

  • Russell Wilson’s 3,993 are the 5th most rushing yards in NFL History by a Quarterback.
    • Odds are high Wilson passes Steve Young and moves into 4th place all-time this year. He has averaged 499 rushing yards per season throughout his career, and only needs 247 yards to pass Young.
