Russell Wilson said…GIVE ME A VOTE FOR MVP in Week 1.

In a real head scratcher, Wilson has never even received one vote in his 8 seasons.

Yesterday, Wilson looked like the MVP, completing 31 of 35 for 322 yards and 4 touchdowns (0 interceptions) for a QB Rating of 143.1. He was also the Seahawks leading rusher with 29 yards on 3 carries.

It’s only Week 1, but Wilson is already making history.

  • Yesterday, he joined Steve Young as the 2nd Quarterback in NFL history to have 30,000+ passing yards and 4,000+ rushing yards in a career.
  • His 88.6% completion percentage is tied for the 3rd highest mark in a single game (min 35 attempts).
  • Wilson is the 11th player in NFL history to throw for 30,000 yards through their first 9 seasons.
