NC State NFL Stat Rundown: Week 2

Here’s a statistical rundown of all the former NC State players that are in the NFL in Week 2 of the 2020 NFL season.

Quarterback

Russell Wilson (Seahawks/Starter) was 21 of 28 for 288 yards and 5 touchdowns (1 interception) for a QB Rating of 132.1 in the Seahawks’ 35-30 victory over the Patriots. He also rushed the ball 5 times for 39 yards.

Philip Rivers (Colts/Starter) was 19 of 25 for 214 yards and 1 touchdown (1 interception) for a QB Rating of 97.8 in the Colts’ 28-11 win over the Vikings.

Running Back 

Nyheim Hines (Colts/Reserve) didn’t have any carries in Indy’s 28-11 victory over Minnesota, and only had 1 reception (1 target) for 4 yards. He also returned 4 punts for an average of 10 yards. Hines only played in 9 offensive snaps (12%).

Jaylen Samuels (Steelers/Reserve) didn’t carry the ball a single time with a healthy James Conner back for the Steelers. Samuels only had 1 reception (2 targets) for 4 yards in Pittsburgh’s 26-21 win over Denver, and only played 5 snaps (8%).

Wide Receiver

Jakobi Meyers (Patriots/Reserve) picked up his 1st reception of 2020 in the Pat’s 35-30 loss to the Seahawks on Sunday night, snagging 1 reception for 7 yards. Meyers was only in on 8 offensive snaps (11%).

Offensive Line

Garrett Bradbury (Vikings/Starter) – Bradbury played in 100% of the offensive snaps in the Vikings 28-11 loss to the Colts. He didn’t allow a single pressure in the contest.

Joe Thuney (Patriots/Starter) – Thuney played in 100% of the offensive snaps in New England’s 35-30 loss to Seattle. He allowed 1 QB Pressure & Hurry.

J.R. Sweezy (Cardinals/Starter) – Sweezy played in 100% of the offensive snaps in the Cardinals’ 30-15 victory over the Washington Football Team. He allowed 4 QB Pressure’s & Hurries.

Will Richardson (Jags/Reserve) – Richardson didn’t see any snaps on offensive line in the Jags 33-30 loss to the Titans, but did see action in 5 plays on Special Teams.

Defensive Tackles

Justin Jones (Chargers/Starter) – Jones had 1 tackles in the Chargers 23-20 loss to the Chiefs. He played in 26% of the defensive snaps. He also had 2 QB Hurries.

B.J. Hill (Giants/Reserve) – Hill had 4 tackles, 1 sack, 1 tackle for loss and 1 QB Hit in the Giants’ 17-13 loss to the Bears. He played in 31% of the defensive snaps.

Defensive End

James Smith-Williams (Washington/Reserve) – Smith-Williams recorded his first tackle in the NFL in Washington’s 30-15 loss to Arizona, playing in 7 defensive snaps (9%).

Larrell Murchison (Titans/Reserve) – Murchison recorded his first tackle in the NFL in the Titans’ 33-30 victory over the Jags, playing in 15 defensive snaps (20%).

Kentavius Street (49ers/Reserve) – Street didn’t record any stats in the 49ers’ 31-13 win over the Jets, but did play in 38% of the defensive snaps.

Linebackers

Germaine Pratt (Bengals/Starter) – Pratt had 2 tackles in Cincy’s 35-30 loss to Cleveland, playing in 74% of the defensive snaps.

Bradley Chubb (Broncos/Starter) – Chubb had 3 tackles and 1 tackle for loss in the Broncos’ 26-21 loss to the Steelers, playing in 86% of the defensive snaps.

Safety

Josh Jones (Jaguars/Starter) – Jones has 7 tackles in the Jags 33-30 loss to the Titans. He played in 100% of the defensive snaps.

Juston Burris (Panthers/Starter) – Burris had 1 tackles in the Panthers 31-17 loss to the Bucs. He played in 100% of the defensive snaps.

Dontae Johnson (49ers/Reserve) – Johnson has 1 tackle in San Fran’s 31-13 victory over the Jets, playing in 8 snaps (12%).

Punter

A.J. Cole (Raiders/Starter) – Cole punted the ball 2 times for an average distance of 40.0 in the Raiders 34-24 victory over the Saints.
