NC State Men’s Basketball Out of the Empire Classic

NC State Men’s Basketball team was set to play in the Empire Classic this season which included Villanova, Michigan and Baylor. Recently, this event was turned into an event to be played in a “BUBBLE” at Mohegan Sun in Uncasville, Connecticut.

Unfortunately, according to Jon Rothstein of CBSSports, the Wolfpack is being replaced by Boston College.

Reasons for the switcheroo aren’t known at this point.

It will be interesting to see if NC State finds their way into another multiple team event. The maximum amount of regular season games were reduced by 4 games by the NCAA due to the season starting 2 weeks later than originally planned.

• Max 24 games with 1 multiple team event with up to 3 games
• Max 25 games with 1 multiple team event with up to 2 games
• Max 25 games with multiple team event.
