NC State CB Teshaun Smith Out for the Year

Published

on

Junior Cornerback Teshaun Smith will miss the remainder of the 2020 season after having shoulder surgery.

Smith was the starter at Left Corner entering the season, playing 56 snaps in the season opener vs. Wake Forest. Despite being listed as the starter on the Depth Chart against Virginia Tech, Smith didn’t play due to an injured soldier.

In a sad turn of events, Smith has now suffered season-ending injuries in back-to-back seasons. Last year, he missed the final 6 games of the season after a shoulder injury in the Syracuse game.

Sophomore Cecil Powell started in Smith’s place in Blacksburg.
