Trea Turner Was the Best SS in the MLB in 2020

Even though it was a shortened season due to COVID-19, it was former NC State All-American Trea Turner’s best season of his 6-year career.

Turner led the MLB in hits (78) and led the National League in Triples (4). His batting average of .335 was the 2nd highest of his career, and his OBP (.394), SLG (.588) and OPS (.982) were all career highs.

No other former NC State player has ever led the MLB in hits in a single season.
