NC State vs. UVA: SERIES BREAKDOWN

NC State and Virginia will play for the 59th time today, in a series that dates back to 1904. The Wolfpack holds an overall advantage in the series (35-22-1), and even holds the edge historically up in Charlottesville (15-12-1). NC State has won 3 of the last 5, regardless of location.

These two teams played one another every single year from 1960-2003, but have only played one another 5 times since the expansion of the ACC in 2004.

Despite the historical advantage at UVA, recent history hasn’t been as kind to NC State in the commonwealth, losing 9 of their last 12 there.

Head Coach Dave Doeren has only played Virginia once in his tenure, winning 35-21 in Carter-Finley in 2018.
