Devin Leary Out 4-8 Weeks with Broken Fibula

Redshirt Sophomore Devin Leary is the future at Quarterback at NC State.

He has breathed life into a fanbase hungry for hope and desperate for legitimacy.

Sadly, Leary suffered a broken fibula yesterday when he was targeted while sliding, and had surgery this morning. He will be out 4-8 weeks.

Is there a chance that Leary could make it back before the season? Yes…but I wouldn’t count on it.

I don’t want to be a pessimist, but I can’t imagine a scenario where NC State’s potential for the rest of 2020 didn’t just take a major dip. That’s no shade directed toward Redshirt Junior Bailey Hockman and True Freshman Ben Finley.

Leary is special.

But…this Wolfpack team seems special as well.

What the coaching staff has done this year has been phenomenal. These players are bought in.

Don’t count the Pack out just because Leary is out.
