NC State vs William & Mary canceled due to COVID. Pack looks to add quick replacement game.

It’s rainy, it’s muggy and it’s Monday. But hey, at least State has a basketball ga….annnd it’s canceled.

NC State will NOT be hosting William & Mary tonight as previously scheduled. That is due to potential COVID cases in the W&M program. So now the Pack needs to figure out an option for a make-up game this week.

Apparently, they are going to look at every option for this makeup game. It could be a game tomorrow or Wednesday, likely with a non-conference team that wouldn’t require air travel. Those options would be UNC-Charlotte, UNC-Wilmington, or UNC-Asheville. If those don’t work out it could be a team like Western Carolina.

If they don’t get the game replaced by Wednesday, then they are off to the “Mohegan Sun Bubbleville” where they will take on UCONN on Saturday. That leaves Thursday and Friday open with a potential game against one of the other teams involved in the grouping.

It’s as complicated as it sounds, but we’ll let the athletic department take care of all that and report back to you as soon as we know more.
