Ryan Finley gets first NFL win in upset over Steelers (Highlights)

Last night, Ryan Finley, who took the reigns in only his 4th NFL start for the Burrow-less Bengals, faced his toughest test yet against the 11-2 Steelers.

Finley has struggled in his first three starts going 0-3 and only throwing for a total of 75 yards through the air with 0 touchdowns. That would all change Monday night when Finley and the Bengals pulled off what will probably be considered the upset of the season, beating the Steelers 27-17.

Anchored by a strong defensive effort, Finley did his part keeping the chains moving and avoiding a single turnover against a tough Steelers defense. Finley went on to pass for a season-high 89 yards and throwing for his first touchdown of the season. He also got things done with his legs, rushing for 49 yards and putting the game out of reach in the 4th with a 23-yard scamper for a touchdown.

It’s obvious that the Bengals see Finley as only a game manager at this point in his career, but wins like this will help increase their confidence and potentially turn the signal-caller loose.
