Our friends over at HoopState Network are killing it with the recruiting coverage these days. Last night they uploaded the highlights from 2021 NC State commit Breon Pass, who dropped 37 points, leading Reidsville to a huge upset win over Kinston (who is headed by 2021 UNC recruit Dontrez Styles.)

Note Pass’s body control, his ability to change speeds, and his decisiveness. Quit looking at stars for a second and just watch this kid play. I don’t care that he’s playing at a 2A school, or that he was an unknown recruit just a few years ago. He’s a high-level point guard who can score it and he has all the tools and intangibles to translate that to the college level. On top of that, he’s proving he knows how to win with the odds stacked against him.

This win from Thursday night sets up an NC State recruit matchup that we wrote in-depth about yesterday. Pass will face off against his future teammate Terquavion Smith, at 7 pm tonight (Saturday). The game will stream on HoopState Network, you can tune in and watch it right here (however, I think it costs $10).
