RALEIGH, N.C. – NC State men’s basketball junior guard Thomas Allen will miss the rest of the 2020-21 season with a left ankle injury.

“We’ll always do the right thing for our players,” head coach Kevin Keatts said. “After consulting with our doctors, I think shutting down Thomas for the rest of the season is the right decision. Thomas was injured in practice a few weeks ago and his ankle just hasn’t healed enough to play him. We’re at the point now where we need to keep him off his feet and in a few weeks, we’ll re-evaluate and decide on what the next steps are.”

Allen averaged 7.4 points per game in 17 appearances this season. The Raleigh native started 15 games for the Pack and had made 25 three-pointers and was shooting 37.9 percent from long-range when he was injured. Allen scored in double figures in five games this season, including a season-best 16 against Syracuse on Feb. 9.
