While the final score isn’t indicative of the dominance, State took care of business Wednesday night in South Bend. Lead by FOURTY-FIVE points from the freshmen trio of Hayes (20), Seabron (17) and Moore (8), State beat Notre Dame by a final score of 80-69. Notre Dame closed the gap late with a 10-0 run. The prior 37 minutes, however, saw the Pack shoot 55% from the floor, with 9 three’s.

For the second straight game, State forced more missed layups than made for their opponents. Bates and Seabron both finished with three blocks each, the team had a total of 10.

With the win, State now moves to 13-9 overall and push to above .500 in conference, at 9-8. More impressive, the win marks their fifth straight road victory, something they haven’t done since the early 1970’s.

The Virginia Tech game has officially been canceled, so unless the Pack find a suitor for Saturday, Pack’s next game will be in the ACCT.
