NC State got an uneven performance from SP Evan Justice ( 6IP, 4ER, 9Ks, 4BB), but their bats bailed them out.

The heart of the Pack’s line-up did what they were put there to do, with the 2-3-4-5 hitters combining for 7 hits, 7 runs, and 6 RBIs. They also accounted for 3 of NC State’s 4 HRs.

Luca Tresh stayed hot and led the way for State, going 2-4 with 2 runs, 2 RBIs, and a homer. That brings Tresh up to 7 HRs in 8 games. He’s hitting a scorching .469 and has an insane 1.156% slugging. If Tresh can keep this up, not only will NC State reap the rewards, but Luca will climb the draft boards fast. A catcher who rakes? That’s gold at the next level.

Meanwhile, Jose Torres did the most with his opportunities, going 2-4 with a homer.

NC State will take on Miami in game 2 of the 3 game set, today at 2pm.
