WATCH: NC State’s newest addition, Casey Morsell, was a 4-star scoring machine in high school

There is no doubt that people are going to judge Casey Morsell on his stats at Virginia. They’re going to doubt the pickup by Keatts and point to his 26% 3 point % from last year, or the fact that he shot even worse as a freshman. But Morsell is far from a poor shooter, in fact that was one of his strengths coming into college for UVA. In fact, Brian Snow (recruiting analyst) from 24/7 said this in his scouting report…

“Tough player who can really score. Good going to the rim and shooting from the mid-range. Long-range jumper continues to improve.”

Does Snow not know what he’s talking about? You be the judge, but it looks to us like Morsell has found himself in a funk over his UVA career. A change of scenery may bring back the budding star everybody saw in high school…
