ACC Network Pushing the Dumbest 30 for 30 about Notre Dame

ACC Network: “What if I told you, Notre Dame would join a conference because of a global pandemic, then immediately ditch it the following year?”

Me: “Ummmmmm….I’d probably shrug? Like, nothing would change.”

ACC Network: “Yeah but it was the first time in their 133 years they were in a conference…”

Me: “Yeah…still…still don’t really care…”

ACC Network: “WELL YOU KNOW WHAT A*SHOLE?!? THIS IS THE GREATEST THING THAT HAS EVER HAPPENED AND WE WERE IN LOVE AND IT WAS AMAZING AND THEY WERE SO HOT AND NOW HERE’S A DOCUMENTARY BECAUSE YOU CAN’T STOP TRUE LOVE!!!”

This is one of the dumbest things I’ve ever seen. I know networks of all shapes and sizes, push unneeded narratives in order to get eyeballs on them. Yet I honestly can’t believe that ACCN would spend the time and money to chronicle a program that spent a single year in the ACC. No one, I repeat no one, cares and it will simply be a random trivia question that gets asked at Raleigh Brewing trivia in 2032.

If the ACCN spent as much effort showcasing actual talent in the conference, there could be numerous spotlights and heart felt stories. But instead it’s politicized and singularly focused on only a couple schools, including one THAT’S NOT IN THE ACC.

I hate Notre Dame. I’m over the golden domers. I went to State’s game at ND a handful of years back. The fans were horrible. Loved smack talking until anything was said back to them. I even got in an argument with the guy behind me because State’s band was playing Daft Punk’s “Get Lucky” and he was beyond upset about, “How dare they play this song about sex at OUR STADIUM!!!” True story. The man was yelling and started pushing me for what the band was playing. GTFO

My schedule is WIDE OPEN tonight at 8pm…but there is no way in hell my TV will be on the ACCN. Can’t wait for the follow up doc, “Notre Dame Football: They Played Five ACC Games in 2021 and Here are All the Highlights.”
