J. Cole had a heck of a week. Drops an album that is pretty much was universally loved, literally breaks Spotify, then heads straight to Africa to play for the Rwanda Patriots of the Basketball Africa League. But it was former State big man, Brandon Costner, that stole the show in the Patriots’ 83-60 win.

Costner finished with 20 points (game high) and 2 rebounds. The matchup with Nigeria Rivers Hoopers was the inaugural game for the NBA-backed league.

Costner had an outstanding sophomore season for the Pack, as he averaged 17 points, 7 boards and 2 assists for the season. He finished that year 9th in ACC points and second in rebounds. Since graduating, he’s been everywhere from Belgium to G-League, China to now the BAL. Should see a steady stream of news, with teammate J. Cole at his side.

Cole ended the game with three points and two assists.
