NC State’s College World Series Matchup and Schedule Released

After a dramatic series against Arkansas, State is off to Omaha. Saturday, June 19th at 2pm, State will open up in the first game of the 2021 College World Series against Stanford. The winner/loser of that game will face the winner/loser of Vanderbilt and Arizona, in the double-elimination format that following Monday the 21st.

Stanford finished the year 38-15, third in the PAC-12. As Regional host, #9 Stanford beat North Dakota State, then won two of three from UC-Irvine. Stanford then went to Lubbock Super Regional, where they took down the Red Raiders in impressive fashion, 15-3 and 9-0. This will be the Cardinals’ 17th College World Series, although it’s their first since 2008.
