WATCH HIGHLIGHTS: NC State Out Pitches Vanderbilt to Move to CWS Final Four

The tension was high, but the reward was much greater. Sam Highfill (A FRESHMAN) just pitched the game of his life in a 1-0 win over Vanderbilt. The win was historic for a couple reasons;

1. Vanderbilt hadn’t been shutout since March 17, 2019 (Texas A&M).
2. NC State became the first school in the seeding era (since 1999) to beat a #1 nationally ranked team and defending national champion in the same NCAA tournament.
