CWS Special: The Funniest Thing You’ll See Today

Let me set the stage for what you’re about to witness.

Ben Mintz, AKA Bayou Ben, AKA Barstool Mintzy is the “King of College Baseball” at the Barstool headquarters. The man that Dave Portnoy (Barstool El Presidente) turns to for yearly advice on the happenings of the CWS, for fandom and gambling purposes.

This postseason…well…hasn’t gone well for Ol’ Mintzy.

Heading into the Super Regionals, Mintzy convinced everyone that Arkansas was the team to beat. After Dave Portnoy bought $300 worth of Razorbacks swag, the Wolfpack outran the Kopps and Arkansas was donzo.

He then picked Vanderbilt to win it all. (Technically, still TBD)

Then Mintzy picked Stanford to beat State…nope

Once again, he bet against State in the Vanderbilt game…whoops

But here is where we’ve arrived at the crucial moment of live social media perfection. As if the Gods of Baseball were drinking with the Gods of Humor, this happens.
