NC State’s Austin Murr Reports Being Filmed in Testing Center by NCAA Official

There has been discussions on social recently about suing the NCAA over what has happened in the last several days. To some, there seemed like no worthy repercussion nor true violations.

But hold on…

In short, while State players gave their names and birthdates during check-in, the Managing Director of Championships just started filming them. He then denied doing so until Murr and company approached him the FOLLOWING day. A normal person would have just never filmed in the first place. A sneaky person would have filmed and then saved out and deleted. An insane person would deny and then continue to be caught red handed the next day.

So the same guy/group throwing the County health officials under the bus, while releasing statements at 2am in the morning, also just happened to be filming guys in a health/medical situation. to that extent;

The HIPAA Privacy Rule does not prohibit film crews from entering healthcare facilities. Provided HIPAA authorizations have been obtained in advance from all patients who are in or will be in the areas accessed by the film crews, filming is permitted.

Furthermore, there are additional rumors starting to circulate about lack of available tests, last minute changes and other less than ideal situations for State ballplayers.

More to come…
