NC State Football Confirms Home/Away Series with UGA

Late Wednesday, news out of Athens was that the Wolfpack have agreed to play UGA in a home and away series, starting in 2033. Both games will be taking place in September, with Georgia hosting game one and State game two in 2034.

Those games will mark the 9th and 10th meeting between the two schools. Georgia currently leads the series 6-1-1.

In the Distant Future

There will people that will scratch their head and look at their 11-year-old saying, “My God…you’ll have already graduated from State before that game.” That’s how these things work. Fortunately, unlike USF, UCONN or any number of other schools State could have scheduled, UGA should still hold up in a decade.

While current recruits won’t have a chance to play, it at least brings State further into the spotlight that change is on the horizon. Win big ACC games, hopefully take care of in-state rivalries and start scheduling big boys. Recruits can be the start of that process.

They should be fun games, especially as it will be a perfect send off for Doeren and his illustrious career leading the Wolfpack to multiple championships. #DreamBig #GoPack
