They’ve been unbeatable all year, and that didn’t change Saturday for the NC State women’s cross country team. With all five scoring runners finishing in top-35, the squad broke State’s national championship draught, in any sport, with a 38 point margin.

What’s even more amazing? This team will be good for the foreseeable future, as three of the top five finishers are underclassmen.

Top finisher for State was Kelsey Chmiel (ACC and Regional Champion) who finished 6th overall and is only a Sophomore. Freshman Katelyn Tuohy finished 15th. Seniors Alexandra Hays and Hannah Steelman and sophomore Samantha Bush, rounded out the scoring runners.
