Football, Apple Pie, Bald Eagles – Go BC

Published

on

Everyone knows the scenario today; if Boston College wins, State is into the ACC Championship.

For the second time this year, WPN is begging another school to do the dirty work. Just like Miss State, had nothing pro or con to say about Boston College. Don’t like playing there, but it’s pretty? Matt Ryan lead my fantasy team one year. Matt Ryan destroyed my fantasy team another year.

Mini Preview

Boston College enters the game 6-6. They looked to be on a roll, before slipping up against Florida State last week. They play much better at home, while Wake hasn’t been the same on the road.

Vegas line has actually shifted towards Boston College, now down to a mere five points. Even ESPN gives them a 40% of pulling it off.

Would assume, however, the line changed dramatically when everyone thought State was going to lose. WE ALL KNOW EAGLES WOULD HAVE ROLLED THE DEACONS. But now that State actually has a bright, shiny glimmer of hope? *Shrug*

There has been rumors out of Chestnut Hill that the flu bug has ran through the team, affecting upwards of 20 players. Go figure…

The problem for BC is their offense doesn’t have that firepower. Defensively, they’re going to have to have an absolute day. This game needs to be a one score game heading to the fourth.

It will be a game based on quarterback play. Out of Hartman’s 9 interceptions, six have happened in the last three games. Turnovers are necessary for Boston College. Meanwhile, BC’s Phil Jurkovec is 4-1 as a starter, where the Eagles look like a very different team with him healthy under center.

How to Watch

Game is at noon and will be on ESPN2. If you aren’t by a tv, just head over to Twitter where it will either be joyous or an absolute disaster.
