NC State’s Leary and Wilson BACK with the Pack

Rumors, rumors, rumors and then BOOM. According to USA Today, Leary announced that he and roommate Payton Wilson will be returning next year for the Pack.

This is massive.

ACC’s *Best* QB

We all know that it was ridiculous that Leary finished 5th in ACC QB voting. The man had a great defense, and thusly, didn’t need to sling the damn ball to make up for it. (Just for context: Howell and Armstrong combined for a 1-7 record over the last month of the season. Furthermore, their team’s defensive rankings were 87th (UNC) and 121st (UVA), forcing plenty of throws for points.)

Leary set the school record for touchdown passes in one season. Finishing with a stellar 35-5 TD-INT ratio, his rating was also one of the best in the nation at 157. In his last five games of the season, he had four, four touchdown performances.

Emezie will for sure be gone, Thayer Thomas, Bam Knight and others are still TBD.

Greatest LB Core is Now Even Better

Coming into the 2021 season, the trio of Wilson, Moore and Thomas was a dream.

That ended a bit in Starkville and Miami.

All three are back and ready to make some noise in 2022. Add in the fact, State got quality minutes filling in relief from underclassmen, this ILB core is about 5-6 deep.
