New Mock Drafts Have TWO NC State Players in Top-5

It really is a great time to be a part of WPN. Just this week, more mock drafts have State players making some big moves into the top-5 of next year’s draft.

Elissa Cunane

A week after joining the 1500 Point Club at State, Cunane makes multiple top-5 mock draft appearance for the WNBA.

Both ESPN and the Athletic have Cunane heading to the New York Liberty. It would frankly be a perfect landing spot. Their forward duo of Laney and Howard both averaged over 16 points last season, while guard Sabrina Ionescu is the face of the franchise. An inside presence is what they need.

Ikem Ekwonu

The man just wins everything. You name an award or list and Ickey was either a finalist or won it. The All-American will no doubt, be a first round pick in the 2022 NFL draft.

His name has been connected to both New York teams, Baltimore and Miami. As high as 2nd and as low as 21st, but with the NFL standings reshuffling weekly, that will continue to change.

The most recent PFF mock had him right back into top-5 position (although it looks like they couldn’t decide between Ikem and Ickey).
