Damn Right NC State’s Taking that Holiday Bowl Trophy Home

Can honestly say, this is the most fired up I’ve been after a gut punch…And we’ve had a quite a few this year. Wednesday morning in San Diego, State got their damn trophy and are heading home.

Before I go further…

1. Yes, I understand players would have rather won it on the field.
2. Don’t give me this “pity trophy” BS.
3. State ends the season 10-3…would hope that Doeren, Boo and staff make sure that happens officially.

If State found out that UCLA dropped out and did NOTHING, then I would be upset about this all. I’d feel like the team just north of us, making a big deal about nothing. Or like Vandy just hanging out in the bushes, making sure they advanced.

But State did everything they could.

UCLA literally packed up before letting State in on the plan. Less than five hours before kickoff? Go F yourself. You get an L for being scared to play and speak. You get an L for having you coach blow hot air all over that stage, like you gave a damn to play the game in the first place. State is taking that trophy and the dub.

Looking like a 6pm arrival back to Raleigh. We’ll update when we hear official word.
