NC State is looking to break a 5 game losing streak as they take on the 9-16 Panthers. Pitt is coming off a 5 point win over FSU, however, they had lost 6 of their previous 7 games.

This is a matchup of two teams struggling, looking for an identity. Looking for any momentum they can build as the season winds down.

For the Panthers, they will rely on John Hugley, the 6’9 sophomore who is averaging 14ppg (but has struggle in his last 3 games). After Hugley, they have 6’4 senior Jamarius Burton, averaging 13 points and shooting 33% from 3 point range.

Pitt is last in the ACC in points per game, 10th in rebounding, 13th in 3 point shooting, and are 3rd to last in the ACC in the standings.

The problem for NC State? They are dead last in the conference at 3-11.

For the Wolfpack, we’re not sure what the keys to the game are. I mean, it’s the same keys as we talk about every outing. Smith, Seabron and Hellems need to be on. because there is no interior defense or offense to be found. They went zone last time out and saw some success. Keatts could give a little more time to Breon Pass to see what he’s capable of in a larger sample size.

What we want to see is Keatts to keep adjusting and keep throwing everything at the wall, hoping something sticks. At this point, that’s the best we can hope for.
