Trea Turner hit his 981st hit of his MLB career last night in the Dodgers 4-0 victory over the Brewers, and in doing so, he passed former NC State infielder Jimmy Brown, giving him the most Career Hits in the MLB by a former Wolfpacker.

1. Trea Turner – 981
2. Jimmy Brown – 980
3. Dave Robertson – 812
4. Adam Everett – 668 (1 year at NC State)
5. Dick Burrus – 513
6. Greg Briley – 384
7. Doug Strange – 434
8. Tracy Woodson – 125
9. Dutch Holland – 86
10. Andrew Knizner – 83

To give context, Brown had been sitting atop of this list for a very long time, playing in the big leagues from 1937-1946.

Turner already holds the NC State record for most career Major League Runs, Home Runs, Doubles, RBI’s, Stolen Bases, and Walks. The only category he has yet to claim the crown for is Triples.

1. Dave Robertson – 44
2. Jimmy Brown – 42
3. Trea Turner – 34

Turner averages a little over 4 triples a year, so in a couple of years, he should be at the top of this list as well.
