NC State Announces Their Football Captains

NC State announced their 2022 Football Captains, and this year they will be going with a whopping 6, which is 2 more than last season.

Linebacker Isaiah Moore (Graduate) and Center Grant Gibson (Graduate) are captains for the third straight year, and Quarterback Devin Leary (R-JR) is back for his second year in a row. Linebacker Drake Thomas (JR) wasn’t named a captain at the beginning of 2021, but filled the shoes of fellow Linebacker Payton Wilson (R-JR) after he went down for the season due to injury.

Offensive Lineman Bryson Speas (Graduate) and Nose Tackle Corey Durden (Graduate) are the newcomers as captains in 2022.

Back in 2020, Tanner Ingle (Senior) was 1 of the Wolfpack’s 4 captains. That means this team has a wealth of leadership, with 6 captains in 2022, as well as 2 players who have served as captain before in Ingle and Wilson.
