This matchup would be music to the ears of Wolfpack fans, who have been awaiting their first appearance in the New Year’s Six for a long time. This season, NC State is one of the preseason favorites in the ACC behind Clemson. With 17 starters back off a nine-win team, expectations are high for the Wolfpack, who are led by preseason league player of the year Devin Leary at quarterback. I’m see-sawing back and forth between Notre Dame and Wisconsin — the projected Big Ten Championship Game loser — in this spot since the Fighting Irish could have one fewer loss. (247)
