NC State’s Men’s Soccer team kicked off the 2022 season with a 2-0 victory over Loyola Maryland last night at home. At halftime, neither team had put the ball into the net, but in the 2nd half the Wolfpack remedied that.

Graduate Midfielder Connor Kelly scored the first goal with a strike into the top right corner of the net. Tonight was Kelly’s debut in the Red & White, playing his first 4 seasons at Duke.

Then Freshman Midfielder Calem Tommy scored easily via a beautiful assist via Junior Midfielder Junior Nare, who debuted for the Pack tonight as well, transferring in after 2 years at La Salle.

Wolfpack Head Coach George Kiefer secured his 200th career college win, becoming the 6th active ACC coach to do so.

NC State’s next match will be on Monday night at home at 7pm against Wofford.
