Former NC State Linebacker Vi Jones Cut by Seahawks

Former NC State Linebacker Vi Jones was left off of the list when the Seahawks announced their 53-man roster today.

If you check out the response by Seattle fans on the Twitterverse, many are shocked after what he put on film this preseason.

Jones finished the preseason with 13 tackles for the Seahawks in 3 preseason games.

Don’t count Jones out yet. It wouldn’t be surprising for Seattle to keep Jones on their Practice Squad.

Though not a starter for NC State, Jones ranked 3rd on the Wolfpack in Tackles for Loss (8), and 2nd in Sacks (6) in 2021. The former consensus 4-star prospect out of high school, and transfer from Southern California proved that he is an NFL caliber Linebacker this preseason.
