You’ve gotta love it.

Former NC State Running Back Zonovan Knight bet on himself and decided not to return to NC State in 2022. After not hearing his name called in the NFL Draft in April, Knight signed with the Jets as an Undrafted Free Agent.

Bam won the bet, earning a spot on the Jets 53-man roster that was released today.

In three preseason games for New York, Bam rushed the ball 15 times for 53 yards and a touchdown, and also returned 5 kickoffs for an average of 28 yards per return, with his longest going for 52 yards.

In three seasons in the Red & White, Knight averaged 5.49 yards per carry, which is the best in NC State history. He also holds the school record for average yards per kickoff return (30.8). As a Senior in 2021, Knight earned All-American honors from CBSSports as a Kickoff Returner. Knight was a 2-time All-ACC performer for the Wolfpack, earning 3rd Team honors at Running Back in 2020, and 1st Team honors as a Kickoff Returner in 2021.
