After going undrafted in the 2021 NFL Draft, McCloud signed on with the Bills as an Undrafted Free Agent in May of last year, before being waived before the start of the 2021 NFL season. The next day he was claimed by the Cincinnati Bengals, where he saw action in 2 games last season before being waived on November 4th. The Bills showed they were still interested in McCloud, signing him to their Practice Squad on November 8th.

The Bills signed him to a Reserve/Futures Contract in January, but ended up Waiving him prior to the start of the season for the 2nd year in a row.

With the Giants snatching him up, McCloud has a positive outlook on the journey.

McCloud made $396,128 as a rookie in 2021 between his time in Buffalo and Cincinnati.
