Former NC State Offensive Lineman Will Richardson Released by Jags

Former NC State Offensive Lineman Will Richardson was released by the Jaguars yesterday.

Richardson was drafted by Jacksonville in the 4th round of the 2018 NFL Draft. After playing out his 4-year rookie contract with the Jags ($3.3 million), they signed him to a 1-year contract worth up to $2 million back in March, with $975,000 of it guaranteed.

In 2017, Richardson earned 2nd Team All-ACC honors with NC State.

Over the past 4 years, Richardson has played in 44 games (5 starts) for the Jags, with all of those coming in the past 3 seasons. Richardson hasn’t been claimed yet, but I can’t imagine an Offensive Lineman with this much game experience will sit out there for long.
