Former NC State Pitcher Carlos Rodon Breaks Giants Record for 10+ Strikeout Games

Former NC State All-American Pitcher Carlos Rodon posted his 10th double-digit strikeout performance of the season last night, breaking San Francisco’s record for 10+ strikeout games in a single season.

Rodon picked up his 12th win of the season (12-8), striking out 11 in 5.1 innings, surrendering 2 earned runs in the Giants 4-2 victory over the Cubs.

Last Sunday, Rodon recorded his 9th double-digit strikeout performance, striking out 10 Phillies in 6 shutout innings, pushing him over 200 strikeouts for the first time in his career.

On the year, Rodon has a 2.93 ERA, a 1.05 WHIP, and 212 strikeouts.
