ESPN’s new Mike & Mike: Former NC State QB Mike Glennon signs on as football analyst, will be in the booth with Mike Morgan

Former NC State signal-caller, Mike Glennon, had a very good career at NC State and even had a decent cup of coffee in the NFL. Now he’s on to his next venture.

Glennon has signed on with ESPN to be a football analyst and his first game in the booth is this weekend.

If you’re thinking back to his days in Raleigh, and remember his press conferences, you’re remembering that Glennon wasn’t really lighting up the room. He was a pretty straight-the-point guy and stuck to the book in most of his interviews.

However, we saw a different side of Glennon recently, when he opened up a bit on the Tuffy Talk Podcast. He was funny, told some pretty good stories, and gave a pretty entertaining interview with some great insight.

So honestly, I believe a career as a football analyst is going to work out well for Mike Glennon.

Tune in on Saturday to see him in action.

Hope it all works out for Glennon. He may have not had a stellar NFL career, but he may have been one of the best compensated backup QBs ever. I doubt he’s gonna get many calls to return to the field at this point, but Dallas does need to do something and there aren’t many choices.

Cup of coffee? Pretty sure Mike got a whole meal with his time in the NFL. Good luck to him in his new endeavor!
