NC State Under Dave Doeren Has Handled Business as Favorites of 10+ Points

NC State is a 10-point favorite against Texas Tech this Saturday.

Through OddShark, I was able to run a report on the results of all of the games in which the Wolfpack have been favored by 10+ points dating back to 2015.

I was able to find the data from the 2013-14 seasons elsewhere, except one blasted game. That lone game was the Wolfpack’s home matchup against Richmond in 2013, in which they won 23-21. I’m going to go out on a limb here and say that NC State was a double-digit favorite in that one as well.

November 15, 2014 – 15 point favorites at Home over Wake Forest: 42-13 (W)
September 20, 2014 – 40 point favorites at Home over Presbyterian: 42-0 (W)
September 6, 2014 – 15 point favorites at Home over Old Dominion: 46-34 (W)
August 30, 2014 – 23 point favorites at Home over Georgia Southern: 24-23 (W)
September 28, 2013 – 24 point favorites at Home over Central Michigan: 48-14 (W)
September 7, 2013 – Richmond?????
August 31, 2013 – 13.5 point favorites at Home over Louisiana Tech: 40-14 (W)

What does all of this data add up to?

NC State is 35-2 under Dave Doeren when they are favored by 10 points or more. Those two losses:

November 8th, 2018 – NC State was a 19 point favorite against Wake Forest at home, and lost 23-27
October 29, 2016 – The Wolfpack were 16 point favorites against Boston College at home, and lost 14-21.

NC State has won 13 straight games when they are favored by 10+ points.
