NC State’s Football Roster is the 36th Most Talented According to 247’s Talent Composite Rankings

247Sports has something called their Football Team Talent Composite Rankings, which basically college football teams by the “talent” on their roster. I have talent in quotations because, as we all know, your star rankings aren’t always an accurate depiction of how talented a player is in actuality, or how great a player might develop to be. But, I am a recruiting rankings and stars guy. I don’t think they are pointless and mean nothing.

What I like about 247’s Talent Composite Rankings, is it can give you a picture of how your team has done in recruiting over a period of years in comparison with other teams. It can also reveal which coaches in college football are overachieving or underachieving.

According to 247’s 2022 Football Team Talent Composite Rankings, NC State has the 36th most talented college football roster, and the 6th most talented team in the ACC. With NC State finishing the 2021 season ranked 20th in the AP Poll, and currently sitting 16th, these rankings show that Doeren and his staff are doing a tremendous job developing talent.
