NC State’s Aydan White Named Walter Camp Defensive Player of the Week

NC State Sophomore Cornerback Aydan White had the best game of his college against Texas Tech last night, and it was nationally noticed. White was named the Walter Camp Defensive Player of the Week.

AYDAN WHITE, NORTH CAROLINA STATE

Sophomore, Cornerback, Asheville, NC/Christ School

Aydan White recorded five tackles (3 solo), including one for loss, one quarterback sack and intercepted two passes as 16th-ranked North Carolina State defeated Texas Tech, 27-14.  White returned one of his interceptions 84 yards for a touchdown as the Wolfpack improved to 3-0 with the victory.

Notes: Aydan White is the sixth North Carolina State player to earn Walter Camp National Player of Week honors since 2004, and the first since quarterback Devin Leary (Sept. 26, 2021).  White is the first Defensive POW honoree since former linebacker Nate Irving (Sept. 26, 2010).
