Could NC State vs. Clemson be a Top-10 Matchup in Death Valley?
#12 NC State took care of business against UCONN last night. They didn’t cover the 38.5-point spread, but I’m not complaining about a 41-10 victory.
#5 Clemson held on to beat #21 Wake Forest 51-45 in double-overtime on the road.
Things got wonky in the Top-10 yesterday, with unranked Kansas State beating #6 Oklahoma 41-34 and #23 Texas A&M defeating #10 Arkansas 23-21.
Three teams in the Top-10 almost lost, with #7 USC scoring a touchdown with 1:13 on the clock to beat Oregon State 17-14.
Also, NC State’s dominant victory over Texas Tech looks even better now, with the Red Raiders defeating #22 Texas 37-34.
So…#6 and #10 lost.
It seems likely to me that the Wolfpack will be ranked 10th in the AP Poll when it comes out this afternoon.
Folks, we could be looking at a Top-10 matchup between NC State and Clemson in Death Valley in the Primetime slot on ABC at 7:30pm next Saturday.
This is going to be the longest week in history.
