Basketball TV schedule released, most Pack fans to be ‘blacked-out’ 8 times

NC State released their TV schedule for the upcoming men’s basketball team, and well, most Wolfpack fans aren’t going to be too happy.

We’ve gone into detail about how a good deal of NC State basketball games are featured on what is listed at RSN. This stands for ‘Regional Sports Network’ and in most of North Carolina it means Bally Sports South (formally Fox Sports South).

The problem is, not many people have Bally Sports South. Unless you have Direct TV or you are paying $20 per month for the Bally + you’re mostly out of luck. And while most of these games are also streaming on the ESPN app, when Bally has the rights to them and you’re in their region, you get blacked out of the ESPN stream. (Here is the NC State fan’s guide to not being blacked-out.)

That said, here is the schedule breakdown…

RSN (Bally Sports South in the Triangle): 8 games
ACC Network or ACC Network Extra: 17 games
ESPN: 2 (possibly 4)
ESPN 2: 1

The ESPN games will be Kansas (in Atlantic) and the UNC game (in Raleigh). The other 2 possible ESPN games are the 2nd and 3rd round of Atlantic, however no TV info is out on those games yet.

The ESPN 2 game is the final game of the regular season at Duke.

All regular season games have some way to watch, however, neither Primetime with the Pack, nor the exhibition vs. Lees-Mcrae will be televised, so make plans to be there.

It doesn’t fix the shitty sports marketing agreements our university/conference have used to sell out (black out) its fans, but I use a VPN to avoid being blacked out of ESPN3.
Private Internet Access VPN has an app that can be installed on an amazon fire stick that enables me to watch ESPN3 on my tv when it is blacked out in my area.
Not plugging a particular VPN, just trying to be helpful by providing this info.

What good is the ACC Network if you can’t watch ACC games when you live in ACC region?

ACCN is more worthless than tits on a boar hog. The Village idiots that put this deal together had no interest in what was good for fans.

BSN South is in the basic tier of Spectrum and also on Suddenlink/Optimum and I would assume most other cable/satellite providers. It would not be available for cord cutters, but to my knowledge, neither is ESPN.
