NC State Nickel Joshua Pierre-Louis Suspended from Team Indefinitely

NC State head coach Dave Doeren revealed today at his weekly press conference that Sophomore Nickel Joshua Pierre-Louis has been suspended from the team indefinitely.

“Nickel Joshua Pierre-Louis was suspended indefinitely from the team. That happened three weeks ago maybe, before Texas Tech, and that’s an indefinite suspension. 

This explains why Pierre-Louis was removed from NC State’s Depth Chart heading into the Clemson game. Since then, Junior Jakeen Harris and Sophomore Devan Boykin have moved into the backup spots behind Baker-Williams, while still remaining as backups on the Depth Chart at Free Safety and Strong Safety respectively.

Pierre-Louis saw action in the first three games of the season (which included Texas Tech). He entered 2022 as the clear backup to Tyler Baker-Williams at Nickel, seeing significant playing time there in 2021.
